The LR23 battery is a battery of a type of energy that is used primarily in electronic radio control systems such as keyless entry systems, home security systems, garage door controls and Bluetooth headsets. A LR23 battery is cylindrical, smaller than an AAA battery, which measures 28.5 mm in length and 10.3 mm in diameter, with a typical weight of 8 grams. An LR23 battery is an 8-cell device with a nominal voltage of 12V. The higher voltage is necessary for radio frequency transmitting and receiving devices than batteries. It has a capacity of around 55 mAh. The LR23 batteries are constructed with 8 individual LR932 alkaline button batteries enclosed in a casing. The LR23 battery is similar to the N battery, which has a voltage of 1.5 V.
